To be in love....when you are broke!

Love is blind..and also deaf and dumb and just because you have only pennies in your pocket doesn't mean that cupid is going to spare you. Read on for some tips on how to win over your lady's heart without losing too much of the green dough.

As someone wise once said, “love is blind” and that might be the reason why we never bother to check our pockets before building dreams about happily ever after. Even Cupid is least bothered with your bank balance when aiming that arrow of love towards your unsuspecting heart. Wish he would do that though, life would become much easier if things came at the right time, to the right people and at the right place.

But if you are broke and still in the throes of that mystifying, ethereal, feeling called love; and want to woo and impress your loved one, despair not, there are various means to do so. And all without losing sleep over where the next meal is coming from. So if you are a guy on a low budget, tighten the wallet strings and read on.

Walk to remember: A romantic walk by the lake-side or in a park will go a long way to bring the two of you closer and a girl loves her guy holding hands and whispering sweet nothings in her ears. There is nothing more beautiful than taking a quiet stroll with the sounds and beauty of nature all around you. There is no other place which will give you the perfect opportunity to get to know one another.

Eat a treat:

A meal in a restaurant costs a lot; especially when you are broke and why do you need to be in a crowded place when you can have a cozy picnic lunch, lovingly packed by you and fed to your loved one with your own hand? A blanket and a bottle of homemade wine will put the icing on the cake. Oh yes, a few pieces of cakes as dessert will do the rest of the work.

Cosy-in movie: If your girl friend wants to go for a romantic flick and you are desperately trying to calculate how much change will be left after the tickets and the popcorn, you can relax. Tell her that you have a better idea and rent her favorite movie, make some popcorn, darken the lights and there you are, the two of you all cuddled together for a nice evening of togetherness. And don’t forget to tell her how much you love to spend time alone with her instead of sitting inside a crowded theater.

Volunteering  love: When you want to impress your girl by showing how much you care about society, volunteer both your names for a social cause in the weekends. This way; you get to spend quality time with each other and do something good at the same time, without spending a dime.

There are a lot of other ways to be a good lover when you are broke. You can play board games, go for a museum tour, and take her out on different free events and parties thrown by your friends. You can write love notes and leave them in special places and gift her a poem composed by you on her birthday.

But these are all short term solutions, if you are in a serious relationship it is better to own up about your financial state than build a relationship on the foundation of a lie. After all, you might find the pressure too much and one day you might have to spend a lot more on hospital bills that what you saved on your dates.

Besides if you are meant to be together, something as insignificant(?) as financial status won’t matter to your lady love.
